Hello Third Grade Parents,
I am very excited to meet with you this week about your child. Thank you for your cooperation and participation in their third grade experience. We have a fun week ahead of us! I did not send home homework packets on Friday. We will not have homework since we have short days and a short week, please make sure students are reading 20 minutes a night. There is no school on Friday, and both Wednesday and Thursday are early release days. Please remember that we have snack at 10am (these days without lunch can be very long for some of the students, depending on when they ate breakfast). Thursday is our Mad Scientist Day. Students can come dressed like a scientist or lab worker that day. We will be rotating centers that day, and participating in a number of fun/learning activities that day. If you are interested in helping please let me know. New AR Goals for this quarter will go home in the student folders (Homework Pocket) tomorrow. I have been meeting with each student individually to discuss last quarter's goal, and this quarter's new goal. Last thing, Thursday is our annual Hoe Down. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time. It is an amazing family event to attend, hope to see you there. Thank you , Mrs. Harris
